Depois de ver Waltz with Bashir (2008) , um dos aspectos que ainda deambula pelos meandros da minha mente é definitivamente a melancólica banda-sonora. A faixa The Haunted Ocean complementa uma das cenas mais belas do filme. Se não se fizesse valer por muito mais, podia ser um filme de respeito apenas com esta sequência.

Heath Ledger. Actor em progressiva ascensão morre a 22 de Janeiro de 2008 com apenas 28 anos, devido a uma overdose acidental. 5 anos depois recordo-o ao rever na minha memória as representações que ilustram, na minha opinião, o seu expoente máximo como actor. [Spoilers]  Dream (Bi-mong) , filme de 2008 realizado pelo coreano Kim Ki-duk. Apesar do filme não ter o mesmo calibre de muitas das suas restantes obras, a cena final é extremamente bela. Durante o filme, os nossos protagonistas apercebem-se de que possuem uma ligação um pouco incomum. Ran sofre de sonambulismo e sempre que Jin sonha esta acaba por realizar esses seus "desejos inconscientes" durante o sono. Depois de muitas peripécias apenas entendidas por eles próprios, Ran acaba na prisão tal como a vemos na referida sequência. Jin apercebe-se que apenas morrendo é que irá conseguir proporcionar um verdadeiro descanso a Ran, na medida em que não conseguirá sonhar mais. Já não se encontra incluído nesta cena mas é interessante o facto dela não ter tentado sequer impedi-lo quando este lhe contou do seu futuro suicídio. Apesar de o amar sabe que é a única hipótese possível, caso contrário nunca irá descansar. Quando Jin se suicida, a sua mente continua interligada com a rapa...

Com apenas cinco longa-metragens até à data, Darren Aronofsky afirma-se como um dos realizadores mais promissores da actualidade. Veremos se consegue manter tal título com o seu próximo épico previsto para 2014, Noah .
